Jolly Jellyfish hot on the heels of Ran at the start of Race 1 of the Warsash Spring Series (C) Eddy Mays
With the clocks gone forward and spring finally sprung, it is now the half-way stage of the Warsash Spring Series 2010. Jolly Jellyfish, the J122 of Jellyfish Charters, lies in 2nd place overall in Class 1, having had some stiff competition from 1st place Artemis, a Grand Soleil 43 B.
The weather has shown all its extemes of mood during the series so far, with Jolly making the most of the fickle zephers to win handsomely on 21st march but Artemis got into her stride when the breeze came on during 14th and 28th March.
If the weather proves to be as capricious during the second half of the series as the first, a close finish seems almost certain…
